Ever fallen into a situation where you had to choose between what you love and what you’re addicted to???

And then, being into the dilemma, you chose what you were addicted to.

Why?

Just because what you love is something related to following your heart.

And following your heart is, though an annoying cliché, but in fact, a tough task.

And we all are afraid of making wrong choices. We are all afraid of making negative outcomes. We all believe that following our hearts can lead us to lose everything we own. We all are afraid of what others would feel if we made a particular choice, and then, we make choices as a reaction of our fears.

When our choices are grounded into our fears, we detach ourselves from our true self. We might make others happy. We might save ourselves from the pain and sufferings which could come with following our hearts. But there’s always a feeling of incompleteness, a feeling of dissatisfaction.

It’s a fact that as human beings our brain has been manufactured to prioritize safety. But when we follow our heart, at least, we accept our true self, our truth. We’ll become more of a confident person, a fearless person. We might face a lot of worries and sufferings, and the outcomes we get also might not be the ones we thought of. However, you’ll never face any self doubt because the decision you took was completely your own. Your decision wasn’t the outcome of your fears rather your self confidence.

When you follow your heart, you release yourself from your confusing thoughts. Then you’ll see that your heart has a very clear idea of making choices. Always believe that your heart will tell you what you really need. Trust this response from your heart. Learn to let go off your addictions, your attachments and your expectations. Learn to let go off the fear of negative consequences, the fear of displeasing people.

Once you start practicing this, you start having a feeling of completeness and wholesomeness. You live more relaxed. Your decision-making becomes more powerful. Your relationships with others will also become good. You stop pleasing people, explaining yourself to others or even to compromise yourself.

Your heart will take you to your destiny.
