It’s time, just let them go…

Stop pretending that you don’t care now. Accept that you can still feel their warmth. Stop giving fake smiles to family & friends when actually you’re deeply hurt from inside. Cry out loud. Stop feeling weak when someone leaves you by their choice. You’re very strong, breathe in fire. And stop being afraid of letting go off the people who don’t care about you anymore. It’s high time, just let them go.

It’s okay if you don’t remain the person you used to be. It’s okay if you don’t end up getting the person your heart chooses. It’s okay if you’re unaware of what you actually want. And it’s okay if the Universe knows it better than you.

You have to just realize that people & situations change. Even your dearest ones might become strangers. They might change from ‘I’m always by your side’ to ‘I’m fed up of being with you’. From ‘I’ll choose you over everything else’ to ‘I’ll have to choose myself right now’. The person who kept you grounded once, might blow away. You might become inconsiderable for them as the time passes by. You might love someone more fiercely than anyone else could, but still they don’t.

You try to fix something but maybe the situation gets even worse. And then you realize that you’ve given so much to something which was never yours. You realize that love isn’t the thing which grows with everyone. You learn to appreciate what it was. You learn to let it go.

And maybe this thought of letting go with that person isn’t something you celebrate for. Maybe it’s just to tell yourself that true love still awaits for you. Maybe it is the time when you don’t want yourself to be engraved into your past feelings. You don’t want to keep it alive inside you anymore. Maybe you want to create calmness with life, with the silence of it all.

You loose your grip upon things, and let things be. Maybe walking away is the best thing you can do for yourself, and also for the person you love. It’s the bravest thing you can do to heal yourself. And then, you learn that maybe letting go is not your biggest mistake, it’s just the beginning of your life.

Thoughts?

I’d really love to listen to you in the discussion section or otherwise.
