regrets — in Life

It’s a cliché to say that life is very unpredictable, right. We decide to do something and the outcomes aren’t the expected ones always. And then, we feel the pain of a decision gone wrong, the disappointment that comes with a decision’s outcome. All this lead us to nothing but to hold regrets.

We inculcate this feeling into our heads that life would be better if we would’ve chosen a different path. If we would’ve been into relationship with someone else, or moved to some other city, life would be just perfect. We blame ourselves for our poor decisions in the past or sometimes, for just not taking any decision. Sometimes, we regret for saying something and sometimes, for not saying something. We don’t just leave everything happened in the past rather, we stick to it more firmly and wait for the ‘good time’ to come over.

Nonsense, of course. But we all have this nature of lingering into these feelings.

But do we ever think that the decisions for which we regret were completely ours once and we’re happy at that time. So what if the unexpected happened, at least we’d the courage to make a decision. Maybe we’re not as matured to understand our mistakes, too young to think better, and less experienced but more curious. Looking upon that with the eyes of an experienced person isn’t fair at all. We don’t always remain the person we used to be.

Therefore, appreciate yourself for every decision you took in the past. Forgive yourself for every decision gone wrong. And tell yourself not to repeat any mistakes made in the past.

“Life isn’t a bed of roses but a bed of thorns.”

Don’t wait for things to get better. Don’t wait for the good time to arrive. Make every moment best yourself. And the best time to do anything now. So, say whatever you want to say now. Go wherever you want to go now. Do whatever you want to do now. So that next time you won’t hold any regret.

You never know when your last day on this planet will be. Never fear to make a decision, never. You’re here to live colors, never fade away!

I hope reading the lines above help if you also hold any regrets because of your past decisions and aren’t able to get over the same:)
